Code Geass R2 Ep. 25 - SAD END

Wow. While I'm not wholely satisfied with the ending for personal (Karen-loving) reasons, it was a good end. I don't think there could have been a conclusive ending without Lelouch's plan. Now Zero is an icon and a figurehead for the world.

The rematch we've been waiting for. Although rather unexpected, since I always figured it would be Karen on Lulu's side vs. Suzaku against Lulu. This was one of my favorite battles. No magical new weapons or cheap gimmicks. Just a good, good fight.

Karen, please don't be sad...

That is...such a strange outfit for Nunnally. It doesn't match her at all. I'd like to see Karen in it sometime, though. >.>

Sword of Zero! That is...such a cool sword. I'd probably be way more into it if it were Lulu behind the mask. >.> Anyway, Lelouch's plan was brilliant (as usual) and terribly depressing). For a series like this, there's no good way to end it except to kill off the protagonist. But his self-sacrifice in the end and desire to make the world a better place was so sad. ;_; Lulu came out as my hero in the end (which makes him better than Light).

Karen, please don't be sad...

The guardian five.

;_________________________; SAD END.

Yay~ Karen isn't sad. ^o^ Is that the key to the guren nishiki that she's wearing around her neck?

Is that Alyssa's Child from My HiME?

And then it was Spice and Wolf. : / Lulu is now immortal master of economics. :D

Well, I guess as long as Karen is happy in the end, then I'm happy. I'd call that a good end.

if anyone reads the manga it is
revealed that Lelouch DID in fact live and that in fact IS him driving the carriage at the end, and has lelouche's face as well as Charle's Code on his right hand (meaning lelouche took it from his father and thus faked his death by continueing to play dead) thus making Lelouch immortal.

really? which manga? if that's true that would be the coolest! i really thought lelouch died. it made me cry. i really hope he didn't.

spoiler

you dont have to read manga to come to that conclusion

the ending of anime suggest the same. if you watch it again and you will notice it

cc says, the power of kings
brings solitude , then she says well not entirely ,and retorically asks Lelouch by saying his name right after.

meaning cc and lelouche are together and lelouch is
the driver of the cart.

Awesome. I was crying for Lelouch at the end, but after hearing this and watching it again I am now filled with joy. Woooot

No that's not true.. Lulu is dead... people who don't understand the ending/story and are rabid C.CxLulu fans claim otherwise.. he is dead.. sorry.. it made me cry too... the ending is just ambiguous so people are happy and don't rage..

Alright, it seems that the last episode was pretty complex and out of most of the people I've talked to, a lot of people don't seems to get it. I'm going to tie up all the lose ends with this post.

The Code is the power of immortality, which C.C. has. The 98th Emperor of Britannia, Charles, has the Code. He transferred the Code to Lelouch while strangling him in episode 21. Lelouch wanted this, and he deliberately told Suzaku to not interfere.

However, the Code does not activate unless receiver dies first. This is shown when the nun kills C.C. after transferring the Code to her. Charle's Code activated when he shot himself. Here is one of the big misconceptions that most people have: The transfer of the Code does not involve death of the transferrer. The nun was crazy and killed herself after she transferred her code. VV was injured from the battle and died. So basically, after episode 21, Lelouch had Charle's Code (inactivated) and C.C's contracted Geass.

When Lelouch got stabbed by Zero/Suzaku at the end, his Code was activated. What supports this is that Nunnally got Lelouch's memories when she touched him, just like Lelouch did when he touched C.C. back in Narita. The only way this could have happened is his Code activating. This pretty much confirms that he has the Code.

Unlike C.C., and Charles, who lost their Geasses because the people who contracted them died, Lelouch didn't obtain C.C.'s Code and thus kept his Geass, while having the Code (which he obtained from Charles at the same time). Lelouch therefore has achieved CODE GEASS.

I think you are all confused. Yes, it is plausible that Lelouch lived, but we have to assume the most likely outcome which is him being killed. Yes, CC says his name, but for all we know she could just be doing that in a similar way to how people today talk to the dead. It's one of those endings where it's up to the watcher to determine what happened, there is no absolute ending.

Here, I'll post it again for the guy above who seemed to miss this!

yes it seems some people arent paying attention to all post rather just 1. But at first i thought he died and natrualy i was very very angry and sad, and that this anime turned out to be anouther american version of Death Note. BUT I couldent accept that ending so I started to realize, why isnt cc misrable she wanted to die more than anything. the reason for that is caus shes in love with Lulu and that shes with him, allso i figured that he did kill charles and he was immortal+ lulu achived full geass. therefor he is now immortal with his 1 true love. you have to pay attintion to the last 7 epesodes but I couldent think of a better inding, loved that Orange is living a happy life with that little chick/grate job on code geass LOVED it.

You ever watched matrix???? Neo died or did he? It is the same concept here the artist left open door for if they create absolute ending the anime can not be ever continued but that way one day we might get season 3 or at least less fans in rage over his death. The ending was created for those who want him alive and those who suspected him dying in the end.
For now I would forget about Code Geass and if they ever continue it, create movie or ova than we will get our answers.

Thank god he lived. I haven't watched the show avidly, and was confused as hell trying to figrue out who was on what side of the war during the last episode. I then figrued that Lelouch was some super-evil-tryant and was pretty much super mad about that. But then when he was killed and they revealed his plan (sorry if it was shown in previous episodes, as I said I haven't exactley been keeping up) I was like T.T
I cried my eyes out and then C.C. is like "Blahblahblah....Isn't that right Lelouch?" and I was like 0.o WTF? So thanks for clarifying that the man driving the cart was in fact Lelouch. They didn't really make it that clear in the anime. ^.^

hes still alive theres no doubt about it. theres even a picture that shows lulu's the man driving the cart check it out:
