Skip Beat! Ch. 141 - The Night Before

Soooo close! And more delicious drama abounds. Shou is still distraught at the thought of Kyoko and Reino together, and talking with his manager only confirms his suspicion that the two are secretly dating. He's especially angry because he thinks Ren is better suited as a rival and he can't understand why Kyoko would go for someone like Reino.

Meanwhile, it's revealed that Reino has kidnapped one of Kyoko's dark spirits and his holding it ransom for Valentine's day chocolates. Kyoko and Moko are working on their chocolates together. Even though Kyoko doesn't care about Reino at all, she knows that if she doesn't make good chocolates for him, he won't return her spirit. Moko wonders why Kyoko isn't going to give Ren any chocolate, but Kyoko says he probably wouldn't want them anyway. Moko realizes that Ren is in love with Kyoko, and she wonders if he'll really be okay with being the only person not getting chocolate from her. She resolves to confront Kyoko in the morning, but Kyoko has work early and has already left by the time Moko wakes up.

So we finally get to see how Reino managed to blackmail Kyoko into making chocolates! He stole one of her dark spirits. How terrible. I hope Shou punches him in the face multiple times. Seriously. It would be pretty sweet. Shou's insanity and depression over the thought of Kyoko with someone else is kinda cute. I'd almost cheer for him, but he had his chance. I had previously been hoping that Moko would talk some sense into Kyoko, but it seems like although she tried, Kyoko just brushed it off. Curses! Moko, you have to call her or something! Kyoko, you have to come to your senses! Give Ren chocolate, or you'll regret it forever! Unless, of course, it leads to a nice dramatic apology and confession scene. :D

Man, I can't wait. Every chapter brings a little bit more goodness and a whole lot more suspense. Just let it happen already!
