Skip Beat Ch. 144 - Why do you be so GOOD?

It's times like this that I hope the Skip Beat anime gets picked up for more seasons. I would absolutely love to see this arc animated. The delicious day is finally here, all the players are in position...let the drama begin! Sho is sinking deeper and deeper into despair at the thought of Kyoko and Reino together. His manager suggests that he just admit that he likes Kyoko, but when he denies it, she suggests that he do something like buy flowers to congratulate her on her new relationship with Reino. An act like that would be a good form of revenge because he would be showing that her affections for Reino have no affect on him. He decides that it might be a good course of action.

Yashiro is growing increasingly agitated, wondering when Kyoko will finally show up on the set and given Ren his chocolates. When she does arrive, she gives Ren his birthday gift, but asks him not to open it until he's a home alone because it's an embarrassing present. She then proceeds to give chocolate to everyone on the set except Ren, much to Yashiro's horror. Ren is obviously bothered, as his smile and his sparkles seem to increase exponentially. But before he can say anything, Sho shows up on the set with a ridiculously large boquet of flowers for Kyoko.

This chapter was DELICIOUS. And it seems like it was longer than last month's, so yaaay. Ren already thinks Kyoko was making chocolate for Sho. Sho thinks Kyoko made chocolate for Reino. Reino is afraid of Ren, and might not even show up on the set at all. But this drama is just too much fun. No chocolates for Ren. Flowers for Kyoko. I might dislike Reino quite a bit, but I can at least congratulate him for a job well done in stirring up loads and loads of romantic drama. Next month cannot come soon enough.
